Successful Exhibit At Air Venture 2015 For Maysteel Industries

This past month, Maysteel Industries, LLC once again hosted an exhibit at the annual Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Air Venture event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This marks the fourth year for Maysteel exhibiting at the event. Gruber Tool, a Maysteel partner for over 38 years, also joined us in the booth. We averaged about 40 visitors per day of the over 550,000 people in attendance. Our exhibit showcases Maysteel’s ability to deliver precision sheet-metal enclosures in a variety of design formats and sizes. The informal atmosphere of the event allows ample time for visitors to ask questions and really dive deeply into our capabilities. It is also a great opportunity for existing customers to interact with Maysteel Engineering resources.

Of course one of the highlights is always walking the grounds to check out the wide variety of aircraft on display. For the first time ever, a B-52 Stratofortress attended Air Venture in 2015. This particular plane was put in service in 1961 and is projected to fly until 2061 – 100 years of service!

One of our very special guests this year was Clarence Resop, father of Maysteel Program Engineer Keith Resop. Clarence is an 88-year-old Korea-Era veteran who had never before attended Air Venture. As a former US Air Force member, Clarence was able to identify every single warbird on the grounds – whether they were flying or on static display.
