(Allenton, WI) With over 80 years of sheet metal experience, we believe it is our responsibility to help cultivate the next generation of manufacturing professionals. We do this by providing students in our own and surrounding communities with facility tours, hands-on work experience and speaking at local schools.
This year Maysteel also participated in Manufacturing Day® (MFG DAY), an annual event that encourages manufacturers to open their doors to “… connect with future generations, take charge of the public image of manufacturing, and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the whole industry." This insider look helps debunk some of the common myths around manufacturing careers.
For our event on October 11th, 2018 we aligned with Moraine Park Technical College for their Heavy Metal Tour. We opened our doors for students, their parents and families of Maysteel team members for a first-hand look at what a career in manufacturing looks like, the innovative technology behind sheet metal fabrication and to discuss the potential that comes with a manufacturing career.
We would like to thank Moraine Park Technical College for allowing us to be part of such a great event! See some photos from our event below:
Maysteel made a custom, sheet metal guitar for #MFGDay2018.
One of our dedicated team members who has been with Maysteel over 40 years, gave the next generation a view of modern day manufacturing.
There were lots of great questions along the tour!
Another view of our guitar made in-house from sheet metal. We told you manufacturing rocks!
A little time for Q & A!
