Engineering Team Performance Award

June 09, 2016, Allenton, WI – A group from Eaton’s Electrical Sector solar team was in Allenton this week to present Maysteel Industries’ Engineering Team with a 2015 Performance Award in recognition of their responsiveness and cooperation on several projects over the past year.

Eaton’s Engineering Project Manager Rajiv Dalal said, “While we have been working to expand our product roadmap, Maysteel’s engineering cooperation has been excellent. We are seeing lots of overseas competition in the solar market. Maysteel has actively participated in our cost reduction initiatives, to the point of creating their own VAVE Team specifically for our products. They have helped us reduce our selling price significantly.”

“The responsiveness we get from companies like Maysteel allows us to say “yes” to our customer requests for shortened lead-times. This in turn gives us more flexibly to manage our own working capital.” added Brian Fifarek, Eaton Supply Chain & Sourcing Manager.

Commenting on the award, Maysteel CEO Kevin Matkin stated, “This type of award validates the hard work that our Engineering Team puts into building relationships with our customers. We want to be part of the roadmap discussion with our strategic customers as they work on competing in a global market. Knowing the technical relationship is solid, allows us to effectively engage in those “bigger-picture” conversations.”

“It has been a real pleasure working with the Maysteel team. They have been very easy to work with and always come to the table with creative solutions to the challenges we encounter.” said Eaton Supply Chain Project Lead John Heinen, wrapping up the presentation.
